Another busy day

It began well, with a healthy bowl of fruit salad that included my own strawberries, and blackberries foraged from the local park.

Despite my good intentions not to do any work today, I couldn't help but take advantage of Alf being out with his pack this afternoon. I assembled the potting bench that had been purchased to go inside the shed for working during inclement days. Here's one I made earlier.

It's a perfect size for the small shed and fits neatly at the end, beside the window.

Alf returned home just as I was putting the bench into the shed. Of course, he had to help by checking that no pesky rodents were inside." Is that a dog food box I spy there Mum?"

The old sofa base is doing service as shelves but is in need of a god refurbishing to get rid of nails, rough timber, and bits of fabric. That will have to wait until I've recovered my energy and got rid of the aches and pains.

So, for me, I'm off for a lavender bath and an early night.
