Our conversation lasted over 50 years.
March 1st, 1969 - our first date, at a friend's 21st birthday party. It was the end of the Swinging 60s, and they said 'all you need is love'.
Add to love a lot of hard work, a little luck, and making the most of opportunities offered.
We were a work in progress, for over 50 years, proving wrong all those who said it would never work.
`I miss our conversations most of all.
